Acer Medical announces that its AI solution VeriSee DR is now installed in Thailand and India. After VeriSee DR, an ophthalmic AI-assisted diagnostic solution for diabetic retinopathy (DR), is installed in more than 80 hospitals in Taiwan, the AI solution has now been introduced and installed in hospitals in Thailand and India too. The progress marks an important milestone for Acer Medical. According to International Diabetes Federation (IDF), there are over four million patients living with diabetes in Thailand and over 74 million in India. The implementation of AI solution for DR screening can be a solution for the long-standing problem of low DR screening rate in the developing world, which has a relatively low patient-to-ophthalmologist ratio.
